BPCL seeks shareholder approval for new business activities

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has announced that the Company will be amending its Objects Clauses of Memorandum of Association by way of conducting the Postal Ballot as required under Section 192A of the Companies Act, 1956 read with Companies (Passing of the Resolution by Postal Ballot) Rules, 2001 for undertaking various new activities concerning to Bio-diesel, Ethanol, power generation, Non conventional sources of Energy, Water management, Climate control solutions, Information Technology etc.The stock was trading at Rs.263, down by Rs.2.95 or 1.11%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.267 and low of Rs.254.10.The total traded quantity was 81869 compared to 2 week average of 158411.
