Net profit of NTPC declined 27.15% to Rs 1726.53 crore in the quarter ended June 2008 as against Rs 2369.93 crore during the previous quarter ended June 2007. Sales rose 6.48% to Rs 9539.47 crore in the quarter ended June 2008 as against Rs 8958.81 crore during the previous quarter ended June 2007.
