Shipping Corporation of India Ltd has announced the Audited results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2008.The results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2008: The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 2486.90 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 2846.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 10805.60 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 11774.40 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008.The results for the Year ended March 31, 2008: The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 8139.00 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 10145.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total Income has decreased from Rs 42103.60 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 40843.60 million for the year ended March 31, 2008.The stock closed the day at Rs.256, up by Rs.14.50 or 6%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.257 and low of Rs.243.50.The total traded quantity was 624672 compared to 2 week average of 143890.
